What Happens if the Evaporator Coil is Dirty?
The evaporator coils is designed to extract the heat from the air within the home and adds the refrigerant. What Happens when Condenser Coils are Dirty?
The condenser coils primary function is to capture the heat from inside the home and release it outside. The process begins when the evaporator coil picks up the hot air inside the home. As the heat is extracted, the hot vapor is compressed and the condenser coil condenses the vapor back into a liquid or the refrigerant. The condenser coil can become dirty or the air flow can become restricted due to debris or vegetation. When the condenser coils are dirty some of the common symptoms which will develop are:
• Poor cooling efficiency, which leads to a higher bill.
• Overheating and stress, which can cause short cycles or the breakers to trip.
